1. Information handled by Stockr
Stockr lets you enter and manage business information such as product names and UPCs, quantities, inventory costs and values, locations, stock activity, market prices, expenses, employee names, hourly rates, labor entries, notes, and customization choices. This information is stored in Stockr's local database on your device.
Stockr also stores limited preferences on your device, such as display choices, onboarding completion, inventory sorting, and other app settings.
2. Information Stockr does not collect
As of the effective date above, Stockr does not require user accounts and does not operate a backend service that receives your inventory database. Stockr does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
3. Camera and barcode scanning
With your permission, Stockr uses the device camera to recognize supported product barcodes, QR codes, and Stockr inventory labels. Stockr does not save photos or video from the scanner or send camera content to us. You may revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings, although scanning will then be unavailable.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Stockr Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Stockr receives the information needed to determine whether a valid entitlement is active, but we do not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by Apple's own privacy policy and terms.
5. Market research and external services
When you choose to research market pricing, Stockr creates an eBay search using relevant product details and opens it in Apple's Safari view. Your interaction with eBay and Safari is subject to those services' privacy practices. Stockr does not receive your browsing activity from those services.
6. Backups, exports, and labels
When you create a database backup, CSV export, or inventory label, Stockr prepares the requested file on your device and presents Apple's share interface. You decide whether and where to share or save it. Because your database is stored locally, export and securely save a database backup before deleting Stockr or changing devices. Files sent to another app, cloud provider, person, or printer are then handled under that recipient's practices. Exported files may contain sensitive business or employee information, so store and share them carefully.
7. Support communications
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and improve Stockr. Please do not attach your Stockr database or other sensitive business records unless support specifically requests them and you choose to provide them.
8. Data control and retention
You control the records stored in Stockr and may edit or delete supported records within the app. Deleting Stockr removes its locally stored app data from that device, subject to Apple's device and backup behavior. Copies you previously exported remain wherever you saved or shared them until you delete them there.
Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain support history, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
9. Security
Stockr relies on iOS application protections for locally stored data. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode and keep exported backups in a secure location.
10. Children's privacy
Stockr is a business and inventory-management application and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Stockr changes. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes to data handling will be reflected here before or when the related app functionality is released.
